Our first reading group session on affect offers an introduction to the concept of affect, which we will be exploring the coming two years. We will touch upon the various dimensions of this elusive concept to indicate some of the directions in which we may move. We are reading the article Louise Lawler: Just the Facts by Helen Molesworth (2006). This text offers a first entry into the theme through an analysis of Lawler that differs from the usual interpretation of her work.
