    2. For the Prologue to Edition III – Masquerade at Overgaden Institute of Contemporary Arts in Copenhagen, Jon Mikel Euba gave a lecture on RE: Horse as an introduction to the development of his project with If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution.

    3. In RE: Horse Jon Mikel Euba is addressing fundamental notions of performance such as the position of the stage and the audience and the relation between the script and its execution. It fuses elements of a live filming with the mistake-filled context of a rehearsal. Typified as a ‘live concert of images’, the performers are stimulated to find space for improvisation within the limits of the used script. The two central elements in the performance are a white horse, ‘live’ present in the space, and the projection of a legendary film recording made by Andy Warhol of a rehearsal of the Velvet Underground, made to be projected during the band’s live concerts. It begins with an individual portrait of Nico that later on becomes a family portrait: that of the band. Once the police bursts into the space, the filming becomes a document that portraits the place, the Factory on that day, and the people present.
