      The Netherlands

    2. “It requires less mental effort to condemn than to think.” These words by Emma Goldman, renowned feminist and anarchist activist, are timely in the current political situation in the Netherlands, where reckless budget cuts on account of preconceived notions about art production seem more favourable to a neoliberal government than a consideration of how the arts might contribute to society and what can be done to preserve our outstanding artistic climate. The fight against the proposed budget measures is urgent and necessary right now. Below you’ll find some of the upcoming actions listed – see you there!
