    2. In Leiden, LIGNA decided to locate them selves in the historic old factory building called Scheltema where today De VeenFabriek is located. This old blanket factory has now been converted into a cultural centre and was the final site of the entire If I Can’t Dance project. LIGNA wrote a new ballet for this site and the participants came to the building and picked up radio sets. This time the audience was split into three different sets of participant listeners as three different scenarios were transmitted which traced the history and working conditions of the factory and speculated on its new and current use. Unwinding red wool as part of the performance, the audiences’ presence and actions left visible traces in the room after their departure.
