Gerard Byrne begins his trajectory in May at Festival a/d Werf with a project called Exercise For Two Actors. Byrne takes advantage of the apparatus of the festival with its busy central square to stage a live conversation between two actors who talk in an improvised way about their presence there. To the audience who can listen to the piece they are invisible and indeed could be any of the many people standing and walking around the festival square. The piece will immediately be edited as a video work and put on display in the Festival house.
