In June, the graduating year of SNDO—School for New Dance Development will present their final graduation works in a festival programme, entitled ‘REALÍTÍC’, at Frascati Theatre. The festival unfolds across two programmes that will be presented on two consecutive evenings, and together as a daylong event.
Thursday 15 June, 7pm
Programme A
Performances by Juan Pablo Cámara, Duan Chengbei, Mao Nakagawa, and Estéfano Romani
Friday 16 June, 7pm
Programme B
Performances by Sigrid Stigsdatter Mathiassen, Tea Teearu, and Andrea Zavala Folache
Saturday 17 June, 4pm + 8pm
Programme A + Programme B
Performances by all of the graduating students.
Tickets are available from Frascati Theatre, and are €11 and €7,50 (students) per programme block.
The presentation of these works runs parallel to the SNDO course ‘Curating and Performance’, which considers the notion of curating within the performing arts field. Within this course the students are engaged in dialogue around curatorial methodology and thinking, to assist them with the production and presentation of each programme and their work within it. The ‘Curating and Performance’ course is commissioned by SNDO, and conceived and led by Frédérique Bergholtz and Susan Gibb of If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution.
The graphic design for the graduation festival is designed by Elisabeth Rafstedt and Nina Schouten as part of their study at the Graphic Design Department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
