In February students are meeting with Emily Roysdon in Amsterdam, to work with her on a new element of her performance By Any Other Name that is presented at the Stedelijk Museum on 13 February.

During the Monday workshop students are introduced to Emily's practice, and will rehearse a group movement that is performed outside the museum at a distance from the audience. On Thursday students return to Amsterdam to work with choreographer Eleanor Bauer on developing the movement and to perform in the evening.

If I Can't Dance's course at DAI this year is constructed around sessions with recurring tutor Matthew Lutz-Kinoy and sessions with our Commissioned Artists Gerry Bibby, Sara van der Heide, Snejanka Mihaylova and Emily Roysdon. At the end of the year, a collective performative work, developed with Matthew, will be presented publically.
