    2. During the period 24 November to 11 December, If I Can’t Dance will present an elaborated programme that will include final performances and presentations by all of the commissioned artists and researchers of Edition VI – Event and Duration (2015–2016). This programme will unfold at punctuated moments across the three-weeks, and will be hosted in various locations and venues in the east of Amsterdam Centrum.

The programme builds upon Edition VI’s Introductory Event that took place across the course of a day, and throughout selected classrooms of the secondary school, Cygnus Gymnasium, on the Wibautstraat in Amsterdam. As a pendant, the concluding programme will highlight the maturation of each of these projects, which have been developed and produced by each of the commissioned artists—Leonor Antunes, Alex Martinis Roe, Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa, and Joke Robaard—and Performance in Residence researchers—Erin Freedman and Lili Huston-Herterich, Fred Moten and Wu Tsang, Peter Pál Pelbart and Ueinzz Theatre Company—over the ensuing two years.

This concluding programme will offer significant solo moments and day long programmes, including the presentation of major new performances, open rehearsals, installations, discursive events, video screenings, and publication launches, and which together provide an opportunity to reflect upon the sum total of Edition VI—Event and Duration. The programme will be hosted in various venues within walking distance of each other, and with each space being selected for its relationship to the specific project of artists and researchers.

The presentation of the artist commissions and Performance in Residence research projects of Edition VI will be complemented by contributions from invited and associated guests. These include a screening by Alejandra Riera of a film made in collaboration with Ueinzz, and a lecture by artist Jon Mikel Euba to complement the launch of his publication produced as part of If I Can’t Dance’s long-term educational partnership with the Dutch Art Institute. If I Can’t Dance’s monthly Dancing Group, led by Amsterdam based choreographer Michele Rizzo, and Reading Group will also have a presence within the programme.

Full details of the programme and tickets will be released on 14 October 2016.
