On Sunday 18 May at 6pm If I Can't Dance presents a semi-public pre-performance by Snejanka Mihaylova and composter Lisa Holmqvist.

The past months Mihaylova has been collaborating with Holmqvist on the production of a song. During the presentation on Sunday the development of the song will be placed in relation to Mihaylova's research material, the Gospel of Thomas, and the technique of exegesis (commentary on sacred texts).

This pre-performance is part of Mihaylova's ongoing commission Inner Stage with If I Can't Dance. She is interested in how listening and receiving are necessary predispositions of thinking. The artist's trajectory shows the public moments that the project has seen so far, including a research trip and seminar in Cairo and the presentation of the Inner Stage Poster as part of If I Can't Dance's Emma's.
