    2. As part of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen’s ongoing presentation series, Uit de Kunst, Wendelien van Oldenborgh will deliver a presentation about her past and recent work. The presentation will consider her experimental production method in which the experiment takes place both in the method and the form. This often includes a public film shoot, with Van Oldenborgh collaborating with participants in different scenarios to co-produce a script and orientate the work towards its final outcome, which can be film, or other forms of projection. In the presentation Van Oldenborgh will try to identify how for her making art is connected with social relations and current conditions.

Van Oldenborgh’s presentation will be followed by an interview with the artist conducted by If I Can’t Dance director Frédérique Bergholtz. Together they will discuss Van Oldenborgh’s development as an artist.

Wendelien van Oldenborgh was a commissioned artist for If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution’s Edition IV – Affect (2010–2012), for which she produced the slide work Supposing I love you. And you also love me (2011), and the film Bete & Deise (2012). In December 2015, If I Can’t Dance will co-published with The Showroom and Stenberg Press a new monograph of Wendelien van Oldenborgh’s work.
