    2. On 10 June 2011, If I Can’t Dance presented new projects in development by artists Jeremiah Day, Sung Hwan Kim, Wendelien van Oldenborgh, Hito Steyerl and Emily Wardill at the Wyspa Institute of Art in Gdansk. During this one-day gathering, If I Can’t Dance invited its five commissioned artists to present their works-in-development, which are to be finalized and presented to the public in fall/winter 2011. The gathering provided a platform for exchange and experiment among the artists and with the audience. Curator Jacob Korczynski moderated the day. Download Jacob’s report of the day below

    1. If I Can’t Dance has commissioned Jeremiah Day, Sung Hwan Kim, Wendelien van Oldenborgh, Hito Steyerl and Emily Wardill to make a new work as part of Edition IV – Affect (2010–2012).

The commissioned works are developed over the course of 2010–2012, in collaboration with our current partner organisations M HKA in Antwerp, Site Gallery in Sheffield, Tate Modern in London, Straat van Sculpturen in Amsterdam, and Wyspa Institute of Art in Gdansk.

Each commission follows its individual trajectory and research path, which may diverge from If I Can’t Dance’s research field of affect. We believe this is a characteristic of the production of new work.
