    2. After a successful tour in 2009 – 2010, to Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall in London, The Kitchen in New York (Performa 09) and Plaza Futura in Eindhoven, D.I.E NOW (Dance International Europe NOW) performs the story of John Webber and Linda Schultz at Tramway.

The True Story Of John Webber And His Endless Struggle With The Table Of Content is the culmination of a project that Keren Cytter has developed over the last two years, within the framework of Edition III – Masquerade. The project has evolved through a
series of live and video works into a dance-theatre play, in which Cytter explores the theme of masquerade by addressing identity construction, politics and ultimately revolution. Protagonists John Webber and Linda Schultz are confronted by a radical sex change; its impact on perception affects the experiences and intricacies of their
daily lives, leading to dramatic consequences. Cytter plays with language, imagery, choreography and light to create a highly stylized theatrical performance, addressing these ideas with insight and humour.

The True Story Of John Webber is commissioned by If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution. Co-produced by If I Can’t Dance, Hebbel am Ufer, Performa, and Tate Modern.
