On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April at 8.30pm, If I Can't Dance presents «THAT’S IT!» + 3 Free minutes, a new performance of Joëlle Tuerlinckx, at Het Veem Theater. The artist works with the core elements of the space – screen, projector, sound system, blinds and lighting as ‘actors’ in an opera set to music, creating a choreography of the space. The performance is staged at Tate Modern on 4 and 5 April, and will travel on to Playground Festival in Leuven (STUK & Museum M) later in the year.

Joëlle Tuerlinckx lives and works in Brussels. Her practice is distinguished by its ephemeral, transient and contingent nature. Collections of objects, projections, drawings and music are often mixed with subtle alterations to the gallery space, and gestures that call attention to the time and space of the viewing experience. Her work has been presented internationally, including, most recently a travelling retrospective at Arnolfini, Bristol (2013), Haus der Kunst, Munich (2013) and Wiels, Brussels (2012). She has also exhibited at the Reina Sofia, Palacio de Cristal, Madrid (2009), MAMCO, Geneva (2007), The Drawing Center, New York (2006), The Power Plant, Toronto (2005), Ausstellungshalle Münster (2005), The Renaissance Society, Chicago (2003), South London Gallery (2002), documenta 11, Kassel (2002), Bonnefantenmuseum, Maastricht (2001), Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst, Ghent (1999) and Witte de With, Rotterdam (1994).
