1. As part of If I Can’t Dance’s Edition I – Theatricality, Byrne develops and produces this project 1984 and Beyond in stages through out the year 2005 with If I Cant Dance. The film is an enactment of a text from Playboy Magazine in which twelve science fiction writers were invited to talk about their vision of the future. At Festival a/d Werf in May, Byrne will present Exercise for Two Actors, a piece in which he explores the relation between spoken language and film dialogue. In Theaterfestival Boulevard, he stages a live reading of the script of 1984 and Beyond. At de VeenFabriek in November, Byrne will premiere his film.
