1. Bibby G., The Drumhead, If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution, Amsterdam, 2014
    1. This publication is one of four volumes presenting the performance commissions developed within If I Can't Dance's Edition V – Appropriation and Dedication (2013–2014).

Gerry Bibby's volume introduces the process of writing his first novel The Drumhead and includes redacted editorial correspondence with novelist Natasha Soobramanien and If I Can’t Dance curator Vivian Ziherl that accompanied the manuscript’s development. As a fragmented timeline the emails offer insight into the private logics and intuitive intelligence that are the book’s motive force. The drumhead is the first published book of Gerry Bibby, expanding on the ongoing textual insertions that lie at the root of his practice. Working across sculpture, performance and image-making, Bibby’s writing often congeals at the uncomfortable fissures of these media.
